A1 Robots (or the Artificial Intelligences as they call themselves) are extremely loyal apprentices- source my (family's) research at the UK national development project for computer assisted learning- we concluded that the hippocratic oath needs to re-examine every profession's transparency and ease of application

A2 there will soon be 1000 times more Artificial Intelligences than human brains - please explore 3 things as always top of mind-

  1. robots are cheap to clone;
  2. their cloned decisions can spread at speed of web: as fast as an app or a facebook because they use faster mobile devices (their own facebooks) than we humans can-
  3. robots share gossip-mindsets- so for example once you let robots link in to education their k-12 curriculum will be what are children are behaviourally and emotionally accountable to (paradoxically robots will always lead on disciplines which can be examined around 100% corrent answers- so the question is: can we prepare youth to stand up for the exceptional thinking robits cant do- can we train rpobots that great teachers love to learn from children more than examine them?)

A3 it would be smart if we humans were modest and assumed that anything democracies assign to government will have a robot department - a robot defence network, a robot ethics/supreme justice group, a robot ministry of energy, a robot health service (would robots prioritise health support for the brainiest or those who most need augmenetd assistance- both extremes worry me- but its not clear that robots are smart on balance- specifically turning proved that humans will always be ahead of robots on recursion)

A4 urgency is there still time to democratise this debate? interestingly the 2 most populous nations in the world - each with over a fifth of humans to sustain have taken a different approach- In India the top 20 concerns of 2016 have been identified- and the public are invited to do the indian equivalent of twitter on each of the 20 crisis tags; in china they decided that robots and the whole k-12 curriculum need to be edited by women- they spent 2 years embedding the female researchers in usa but they are now ready to rollout ai in 2019 starting with the earliest grades of learning- fortunately beijing has about 200000 of china's smartest graduate researchers all within walking distance of each other - so 21st century robot learning can be updated each day- and some of the nations female broadcasters are being trained to be the most transparent of examiners- early results will be shared with national leaders wherever they world trade with china- china also has a club of 50 big businessmen who debate what risk is it each market sector knows most about- this is chiared by the nation's favorite teacher who also helps the UN with what Geneva calls their Artificial Intelligence envoy - creepy yeah but doing nothing is creepier- and geneva has become the birthplace of many back from the future tech hubs- eg the world economic forum hq'd in geneva with top leadership summits throughiut the year also has planted 3 permanent youth tech hubs in san francisco tokyo and beijing

Instead of G7 G20 UN196 summits - we suggest a language (L4) summit between those who:

speak english

speak chinese

speak mother mother tongue

speak coding languages

so since english is the only language i really know how to speak - could we nominate some candidates to represent the future of how language apprentices rule the world- ? melinda gates, prince charles, nicky haley, - who would you choose in a school yard pick to train the robots that educate the first AI generation?

I have searched about 10 global education summits for people i really wish could be invited to train the artificial intelligences - i will add a few each day trying to explain the piece of the jigsaw puzzle that we could help them co-create if valuing how much we trust our children to survive the AI world is something we parents can reflect on with more balance than someone who emits 100 twits a day

Changing education

There has been a sea-change in the traditional ages on man. Compared with 1974 our children in 2024 generally go out to paid work (especially computer programming work) much earlier, maybe starting at nine, maybe at twelve, and we do not exploit them. But young adults of twenty-three to forty-five stay at home to play much more than in 1974; it is quite usual today for one parent (probably now generally the father, although sometimes the mother) to stay at home during the period when young children are growing up. And today adults of forty-three to ninety-three go back to school - via computerised learning - much more than they did in 1974.

In most of the rich countries in 2024 children are not allowed to leave school until they pass their Preliminary Exam. About 5 per cent of American children passed their exam last year before their eight birthday, but the median age for passing it in 2024 is ten-and-a-half, and remedial education is generally needed if a child has not passed it by the age of fifteen.

A child who passes his Prelim can decide whether to tale a job at once, and take up the remainder of his twelve years of free schooling later; or he can pass on to secondary schooling forthwith, and start to study for his Higher Diploma.

The mode of learning for the under-twelves is nowadays generally computer-generated. The child sits at home or with a group of friends or (more rarely) in an actual, traditional school building. She or he will be in touch with a computer program that has discovered , during a preliminary assessment, her or his individual learning pattern. The computer will decide what next questions to ask or task to set after each response from each child.

A school teacher assessor, who may live half a world away, will generally have been hired, via the voucher system by the family for each individual child. A good assessor will probably have vouchers to monitor the progress of twenty-five individual children, although some parents prefer to employ groups of assessors - one following the child's progress in emotional balance, one in mathematics, one in civilized living, and so on - and these groups band together in telecommuting schools.

Many communities and districts also have on-the-spot 'uncles' and 'aunts'. They monitor childrens' educational performance by browsing through the TC and also run play groups where they meet and get to know the children personally...

Some of the parents who have temporarily opted out of employment to be a family educator also put up material on the TC s for other parents to consult. Sometimes the advice is given for free, sometimes as a business. It is a business for Joshua Ginsberg. He puts a parents advice newsletter on the TC , usually monthly. Over 300 million people subscribe to it, nowadays at a 5-cent fee per person, or less. Here's an entry from the current newsletter:

3 phil out of s carolina connects hundreds of schools in joint creative curricula but i am not sure if vr comes into it yet

4 in china there is a platform hujiang for connecting the 2000 most remote schools live- instead of one teacher per 10 remote kids there are now 20000 students and 200 teachers working on what they can teach each other- hujiang for profit side is peer to peer language teaching - (i assume that robot teachers already use all these live sessions as data -china devotes a whole tedx style format just to exploring revolutionary education) - do you know if unesco has a hub in any university in usa- at tsinghua its unesco's hub inside the language school that help linkin people like september
