Anyone who tries to map the world  - the tipping points between future and past -has to dramatise and over-simplify.

We are going to use these descriptions (yes locally they show how much our ignorance needs correcting -help needed chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk)

we will use western datng M1 for 0000-1000, M2 from 1000-2000, M3 from 2000 to 2100 after which one of 2 thrilling outcomes- man is facing our last generation before extinction,l or we have designed an sdg- financed and educated worldwide through which 10+ billion people can thrive with mother nature

In ths over simplification: the new world of the americas only economically, linguistially or ecologically entered maps from 1500; from 1500 to 1946 there was a rushed era of colonisation mainly by NW Europe countries where the UK in particular dominated mercantile colonisation of south asia once it was discovered this could be reached by navigating around africa; as we know in 1776 north america rejected colonisation by west europe - by 1900 america had grown trade within its own continent to may be 20% of world; the uk empire had peaked at over 20% by extracting trade from south asia and caused the withdrawal through opium wars of china from world trade- with hindsight the whole of Eurasia was so unstable that world wars were about to spiral- without the balance USA brought from 1900 to 1946 who knows whether the human race would even have seen M3 (also 20th c credits should be given to the peaceful contributions of the huge lands and relatively small populations of Canada and Australaia)

what we believe (first 50 years of this curriculum started The Economist 1968- archives here) expoentially (E) spiralled changing every human circumstance from 1946 is communications technologies (eg computing, mobile networking..) started doubling every 7 years to 2030 - that is a moores law multipler of 2**12 over 4000 - we  use this classification in cataloguing world record jibs creatoirs contributions at critical times as the word sought sustainability gaols orbits by 2030- from 2015 to 2030 the most exciting times to be alive correspod to 1000-4000 times moore- the 15 yeras when thise alive will dtermine whetjer our species is destined to go the wy of the dodo or to fl;ourish in an age where digiotal world trades know no brders while physical ones need to connect nations in new win-win trading routes as well as peace and ecological harmony

before 1500 the known world was Asia, Europe and that part of Africa with coastal belt of med sea or facing what we now call suez and gulf, we therfore suggest the following time periods are worth mapping

0000-1000  a period where old empires and new religions rose

1000-1500 a period in which the dominant world trade route was the olverland silk road and its maritime connections at the west end out of eg lebanon to all of med sae facing nations; out of east end what we now call primarily the coastal belt of China and Korea, islands to the far east dominated by Japan; during this period and please correct these "rough estimates" trade was approximately proportionate to polulation with

  • one fifth from china (east coastal belt),
  • one fifth from the south asian belt mainly india;
  • probably another fifth of world trade corresponded to what was called to 2018 the European Union ( which itself segmented into 3 types if nations with access to med sea, with access to north sea; with no sea);
  • probably a fifth of trade started where today's Turkey becomes Asian - looked at from Beirut as a navigational crossroas the north west coast towards europe ends at turkey, the east is the silk road drawn across approximately latitude 30, the south west crossroads passes through majotr religious birth places west across to the african continent or east towards the Gulf where today's kuwait is  a bridge between Arabia and the start of the south asia coastal approximate latitude 20 which moves through iraq and iran to : pakistan and india subcontinent
  • about a fifth was everywhere else in the known world to 1500

Gandhi M #Br2 World Record book of Jobs Creators
Gandhi, tags: sustainable world trade corridor #BR2 ,exp-era 0 assassinated 1948

Few centuries have started up with a more exciting vision than Gandhi's : end colonisation which became his life's work from 1906

What could the future of sustainable world trade look like noting that half of the world's people live in south asia or China?

more on Gandhi as WRJC http://www.worldrecordjobs.com/search?q=gandhi - tags languages Hindi, English ...world trade #theEconomist- see http://www.bri.school

Gandhi was one of the most global people born in the 19th century - age 18 he went from his area of upbringing - states surrounding Mumbai (then called Bombay) to read law at the Bar of London- most of his professional work as a Barrister was done in South Africa- the Gandhi world travel triangle became bombay-durban-london related WRJC Mandela

in 1906 about half way through his life he had his aha moment he called satyagraha (search for while gtruth) - his profession the law of the English Empire was what was holding back native Africans as well as his peoples in India- the aha moment came when he was thrown off a train for having the wrong colored skin
Gandhi continued professional work as a Barrister in South Africa but decided from 1906 that he would need to design a whole new education system in India before aiming to take on the British in demanding independence

maria montessori helped gandhi with the most famous educational innovation - village schools
gandhi also revitalised ashrams - rural cooperatives for people of all ages to build community
Gandhi valued livelihood education in every way this becomes different from classrooms designed round theory and examination-

As well as agricultural apprenticeships which village children gain from approaching adolesecence
Gandhi aimed to maximise youth's appreciation of cultural diversity before adolescence - moreover, he had himself served as a first aid networker on several occasions including London during the first 6 months of world war 1- so maximising understanding of personal health would have been a curriculum Gandhi would have cheered

 Gandhi's Talisman for sustainability networking:

"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man [woman] whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him [her]. Will he [she] gain anything by it? Will it restore him [her] to a control over his [her] own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to swaraj [freedom] for the hungry and spiritually starving millions

Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

One of the last notes left behind by Gandhi in 1948, expressing his deepest social thought

India updates of most scale : Nilekani

2018 vs 1948 - Gandhi's hopes for India

In many ways the biggest chalenges for the fifth of the world's people living by the southern coastal belt remain. Becuase of Gandhi's assasination, his hopes for a united peaceful region and the opposite of a top down bureaucratic government were not what India's second half of the 20th C revolved round.

To see results of bottom-up health and vilage schooling systems for the poorest - look at wrjc Sir Fazle Abed.

To see that his peace curriculum for primary schools worked- see jagdissh gandhi familiy's city montessori Lucknow (the only school reognised by UNESCO for a peace crriculum)

India left it to 1991 to end prptectionism of many of its industry sectors, see Manmohan Singh.

India's digital indutries out of Bangalore in 1980s started well ahead of China's - but digital infrastructoire has not scaled across the whole nation the way it has in China.

To be sure the way the Chinese Diaspora's grwoth duriong the 3rd qiuarter of the 20th century rose in the midst of what has become the number 1 global trading route in the world reflects how many nations peacefully tranformed around the Eastern coastal Belt.  West of India remains a region of conflict zones and troubled peoples.

In terms of population size- one fifth of the world's people's sustaimabiloity depend over the next decade on how digital and infsratructue rises during the era of 1000 to 4000 times Moore. Belt Road mapping goodwill partnerships across #BR0-#BR2 impact the people of India and the world of youth in ways whose urgency cannot be over-exagerated

More people live in the region Gandhi called the Indian subcontinent (along Asia’s south coastal belt of Eurasia) that anywhere else (between 25%-30%). Next comes the region we know as China (facing Asia’s eastern coastal belt of Eurasia) as about 20%.  T

To understand the future and the history of human development  challenges we need to understand how two different kind of communications evolved- as well as how finance evolved. Both of these impact what we may called the education of our human race and the economies and social ecologies

How people and goods move around (“distribute”- in the beginning on foot, by animal (eg  horse camel , yak) and boat

How people communicate knowledge -by language, writing, printing press

Up to 1500 boat was the only long-distance way people interacted with one extraordinary exception – the silki road which we need to map as carefully as we can as it linked overland across the circumfrence of the known world of Eurasia

From 1500 to 1700s what changed was man discovered 2 sea routes – west of europei to the new world of the Americas

South and east all around Africa reaching Asia’s southern coastal belt.

This discovery led to colonisation pasrt1

What changed in the 1700s was the exponential development of the engine- railways would be the first huge transportation invention and they would start the change to livelihoods of city life instead of rural life

; the engine could also power much more massive printing, and this would also lead to the dominat impact of lawyers and bureaucrats administering the rules

Then just in time to impact Gandhi’s lifetime (his global reach as the most jounralised ediator of his time) came the invention of electricity- the first massive  communication use was the telegram and then came the media tools of the phone, the radio, and later television

All these were fast changing exponentials impacted both colonisation part 2 and the lifetime of Gandhi, but the exponential revolution which accelerated from about the time of his death we will argue to have even moore and faster impacts – see eg von neumann (46-53), deming 53-60, jfk (60 on)

SUMMARY OF MARKET EVOLUTION WHICH WE NEED TO MAP WORLD TRADE ROUTES AROUND

Market economies up to 1500 while silk road was main world trade route.

Markets as they got mixed up  to world war 2 by the era of colonisation part 1 and 2

Markets in the post-colonial world and the post-industrial revolution areas that exponentially increased tech of connectivity 4000+ times 2030 versus 1946.
