WHO DESIGNS WHAT FUTURES WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR YOUR & MY CHILDREN
Before anyone studies let alone teaches economics, they should bear in mind Keynes' advice:
(published in the last chappter of his general theory of money, interest and jobs)

increasingly only economists and media people's celebrities rule the world
- what futures will be exponentially possible for your next generation and places

to understand any scottosh economist from adam smith 1758 you do have to read
the original writings- these days (in a cruel adaptation of keynes ) almost every term adam smith coined has been translated
by academics sponsored by a big vested interests to say the opposite of adam's world truly meant and mapped

-american capitalism under someone like trump is very dismal indeed whereas chinese capitalism as of 2018 is surprising joyous for all worldwide youth
and green-leading cities to collaboratively web

it is worth rememberiing that adam in the 1750s was writing out of glasgow university

one generation into being colonised by the English- scotland is quite far north- separated (then by about 30 hours of riding

a horse- the (railroads of trains would come 100 years later) from the hubbub of say london the then empire of rule
britannia, britannia rules the waves britons never never never shall be slaves (an odd macroeconomic idea that others would be slaves)

an early disaster of global banking had drowned the sclots in the 1700s- unbeknown to
almost all savers over half of their monet had been invested in a fraudulent scheme
something to do with building the panama canal or some such latin american adventure

the result scotland of 1700s was a failed nation- England took it over-
it is well known that england's accoutants went up to scotland and started telling landiweners
that lamb was a very popular dish in Lodon, that sheep were more profitable every quarter
than scottish people- so small scottosh farmers were evicted so that lodo0ners could enjoy their suday raosts

it was in this context that adam smith should be most famous for 2 terms

MARKETS
he defined a transparent market as one whetre all custimers, sellers, suppliers could see each others behaviours-
in such a market truts over-trumps even money as the main concern- hence
adams invisibke hand in a wholly transparent market (some people call that adam's free market) every commercial player
is motivated to do the ebst he can - - in a market where everyone sees everyones transactions reputaion is all or nothing

we interpret true microeconomic models and the valoue of grassroots networks as those that muliply trust
through every interaction- if you dare to think about that we amy suggest 3 types of trades
goods
services
action learning

the third of these multiplies value in use compared with the first of these that gets consumed up in use

imagine how much more value tpday's youth as the sustainability generation could develop out of
ecvery community of life critical solutions are open soyrced and app'd
if that is what educatprs webbed around- of cousre this would mean that youth would directly
linkin to alumni if the grartest jobs craetors be these sir fazle abed, jack ma or whomever
you trust most to know what you want to replicate so you can sustain family and other happy connections

whether the education profession will ever give up their monopy of classroom treaching for a new blended mode in which
youth hear or read directly from sources like girl empowerment sit fazle before they are then locally coached is quite probably where human sustainability will be won or lost

ADAMS AND TERM _-NATIONS (Advantages of)
It was adas belief that if people decided to immigarte to a land far bogger than Brotain - say the USA then britain should anticiapte how to design win-win gtrades with the largetr nation, not do the xact opposite of trying to colnise it- this was what his book on the advantage of nations argued
-as hostory turned out americans hosted a tea party, booted out the Englkish coloniers,

declared the entrepreneurial freedom and happiness of the new world's independence from the old world
(while decidiong to keep the open source software of the englkish language) and as far as global affairs went americans lived
happily ever after until 2 world wars whose root causes were yet again Europe's colonial powers

as far as america's internal affairs went (now remember the area of usa is over 40 times bigger than that of the UK,
(incidentally usa, china amd canada are almost same size but even tiday's russia is nearly double) america having
last issued its constituition in late 1700s chose  rule by gun , endured north south wars , treating aftucans as an underclass to europeans , a
not so secure social fabric webbed across the states which desperately needed railways to start communicating decency
and  any first attempts to map the so-called americn dream for all

we hypothesise tahtb the good and bad news for all peoples of the 20202s kis that tere is so much geogpraphic diveriosty-
why dont we bury hostory quarreles caused by being so discinnecetd and debate how to
help each nation's diferet natiral assets connect all peoples in peace and goodwill- do we have any leadership spaces where
such reconciliatuin ay be possible and of so could we remap where a continents ports and grids linkin- today we are digiotally connecetd universally but soli]oised by history's geograhic bodrers-
we need a fresh start in believeing most parents want to cfreate communiteis in chich teir children can do good and through which ever smarter tourism celebrates arts, natires clean abndance and intangibles (which jack ma calls loveq) that paper money never could design inter-geneerational models around

Jack Ma discusses the need to change how we educate.
